Braided Fishing Line

Braided fishing line is now the line of choice. Who hasn’t got at least one of the favourite reels spooled with braided fishing line of one colour or another. This is not a new thing now with braided fishing line coming on the market in different colours and new weaves.

 The advantages of braided fishing line will far out way the disadvantages. Most anglers now would know that the abrasion resistance in the braided fishing line is not as good as the monofilament. A good length of leader material will sort that problem out quite easily. In the very light braided fishing line you can have trouble with it coming off the spool in the worlds biggest birds nest if you are not careful with winding it on and keeping it tight. The only other catch for braided fishing line rookies and well groomed ones is to keep fingers and thumbs off spools that fish have a running hold of!!

 The rest about braided fishing line is all good news if you keep it clean and out of the sun light. The feel of fish on braided fishing line is what keeps everyone coming back for more. You only need roughly half the thickness of your old stuff and you can catch bigger fish and feel the whole fight without skull dragging the poor fish in. The casting of braided fishing line is also impossible to beat with anything else. Angling with braided fishing line with lures is now not even contemplated with out this wonder product. The feel and sensitivity of your lures is invaluable to know when you hit something or something hits you! You will feel every bump that your lure makes and you will soon know which are which. The braided fishing line will also keep your lure running deeper with less drag and with the right rod and reel combo you will know what fish you have on the end.

 The big thing you lose with this braided fishing line is the amount of stretch in the braided fishing line. So the only thing you want to stretch in the end is the fish you catch not your braided fishing line!
